We'll do a comprehensive radon inspection of your property so you can ensure the safety of you and your residents.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), approximately 1 out of every 15 homes contains elevated radon levels. In our area of Kentucky, and out of homes tested within the past year, we have found elevated radon levels in nearly 30% of the homes tested. Radon gas is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, making it a silent threat that requires professional help to tackle. There are several ways radon can enter your home or building. The most common method occurs when gas pressure rises from the soil underneath a building and enters through flooring, cracks is slabs, open crawl spaces, cracks in walls, or gaps around pipes and drains.

The only way to ensure your home is free from this deadly gas is to have your inspector perform radon testing. Our certified professionals here at CHC Home Inspection are dedicated to keeping your home and family safe.

Constant exposure to high levels of radon (determined to be 4 pCi/L or higher by the EPA) is believed to be equal to the effects of smoking 8 cigarettes a day and receiving 200 chest x-rays a year. A silent killer, radon exposure is linked to 21,000 deaths each year from lung cancer.
