Turn Inspection Findings Into a Practical Repair Budget

An inspection report may identify several concerns, but understanding their financial impact is not always straightforward. A repair budget adds helpful context as you decide which items need further attention.

Buyers can use this information to plan for potential expenses and discuss repair requests with their real estate agent. Sellers can use it to better understand concerns raised during an inspection and consider how to respond.

How to Request Your Budget Repair Estimate

Real estate agents can submit selected findings directly through the inspection report.

1. Open the Inspection Report

Real Estate Agents: Use the report link sent to you by email.

2. Select the Repair Request Builder

Open the “Report Tools” menu in the upper-right corner, then choose “Repair Request Builder.”

3. Choose Up to Five Defects

This brings you to a list of all defects found during the home inspection. Select the items you would like budgeted. A green check mark indicates each selection.

4. Create Your Request

Click “Create” at the top after reviewing your selections.

5. Email the Selected Items

Send the request to estimates@chcinsp.com, then click “Send” and “Done.”

6. Check Your Email

You will receive an email within 72 hours when your repair budget is uploaded.
